Language Apartheid in South Africa is based on June 1976, the Soweto Uprising-where many young black students where fighting to be taught in Afrikaans, the language of the oppressor (white racist South Africans).
Here's the link that ellucides and demonstrates this through archive footage that most where taken as the killings of young black South Africans took place in 16 June 1976.

Miriam Makeba Iqhirha lendlela (the click song)
So my Korean friends are so fascinated by Xhosa that we had to drop our books and sing a Xhosa song. The only one that came to mind that has clicks was Mama Africa's song. So here's the video link

Liam Hemsworth's thought about Miley Cyrus' new hairstyle
By; Ndyaluvane Aviwe
After Miley Cyrus's drastic hair change, and all the media attention surrounding it-both positive and negative everyone wants to know what her fiance, Liam Hemsworth thinks about it.
When Miley posted a picture on her tweeter account saying that it's time her to let her bun go, no one actually thought much about that, well initially. We just thought she was probably going to extend her hair, perhaps dye it- but no one actually knew that this>>>>>> was going to happen....
I will give you a minute, to catch your breath... shocking right... she went from this>>> to that...
With such a drastic hair change, many people wanted to know why she cut her hair.. Yes, you've guessed it the rumours started to spread and bad talks... Many people thought she was suffering from an identity crisis, further saying they think she is fake-and trying to gain attention and popularity since her show Hannah Montana has reached it's last season.
And if you thought that was harsh, you haven't seen nothing yet... Many claimed she was doing drugs. Apparently, like other celebrities are-she joined the crew... They supported this by saying that she she was fearing that her fame would soon perish because of her last season of Hannah Montana...
Even though everyone would like to see another Lindsay Lohan sagga, Liam Hemsworth has silenced Miley's haters on his Instagram Handle saying...
So, now you know... she did it for cancer...and her Fiance loves her either way, brunnette, blonde, with a bun or without a bun
Plus, Miley says the new hairstyle suits her new direction that she is taking with her music, hence she is planning on releasing a new CD.
So whether you like it or not, it wasn't made for you, but for the poor cancer kid-who appreciates the gesture....
Oh, and in case you were wondering...her acting career is doing alright...you can catch her on Two and Half men now...

Jacob Zuma's renovated house in Nkandla
By; Aviwe Ndyaluvane
When every citizen in South Africa is very much concerned about the country's future; undecided about whether the current president should be given a second term, sceptical about Montlante-who no one knew about before he surfaced as our acting president in 2008 and if perhaps Hellen Zille is the way to go... Jacob Zuma seems, however, not stressed like locals are- as he proves this by instead of preparing for the Road To Manguag-he renovates his house. Yes! Not only that- renovations to the house cost more than 5 million....
As every one knows, South African Ministers and Presidents are known to be corrupt, we hear day in and day about mismanagement of funds and mind-blowing tenders that feed them from the pockets of citizens. Therfore, it was no surprise that citizens enquired about how he accumulated such an amount when he is supposed to earn less than that... and who was every one's Superwoman... Helen Zille. Zille "Anc's greatest critic" was there on the spot..
But everyone's question is: did she go there to expose Zuma (like she always claim she does) or was it part of her strategy to gain popularity and sympathy from the public (as she knew she wasn't invited to attended the party).......
As you know there are two sides to a story, however to this one... there are three (Zuma's, Zille's and Zuma's supporters side of the story).
Let's begin with Zuma's side-
Zuma believes that "Politics remain outside a politicians house" and that a "politician's house is his". Secondly, he believes that he invited everyone that he wanted to attend his party- and anyone who wasn't invited should have taken a hint.
He justifies his actions by saying that, he would understand if the public was angered by him not allowing Helen Zille to enter Parliament or the Luthuli building or any building for that matter that is open to all South African citizens but his house is private property. He's rules, he's guests and that's it...
On the contrary, Helen Zille believes that she was not allowed to exercise her right as a South African, the right to move freely in South Africa. An Act that was legalized in South Africa to ban the Dompas Act.
Furthermore, she claims that she had a letter that allowed her permission to enter Zuma's house. However, that letter was never revealed to the media...we are still waiting Helen. Anyday from now will do.
Then come's Msholozi's supporters- who believe that their President should be left alone and allowed to have fun. Yes, fun is okay for very one to have, including the President himself. However, that 'fun' should not in pinch on citizens well-being. We pay tax money to better South Africa and our lives not to have social conditions to deteriote.
Helen Zille and the media can try to expose Jacob Zuma to ANC supporters with concrete evidence, however, they will not achieve this, because he's supporters are so loyal to the ANC and sceptical about having a White president.
As a result this is what is happening and his supporters are supporting this.......
South Africa's national broadcaster has ignited a row over media independence by banning its journalists from referring to President Jacob Zuma sprawling private residence as a "compound" or "Zumaville".
So, where do we go from this... when just last night Barack Obama was re-elected as America's president. When other countries are moving 'forward' and we... back to the secrecy bill of the Apartheid Regime-where journalists and oppossing parties where not allowed to voice their opinion about the ruling party....

President Bill Clinton makes an appearance at SCSU
By: Aviwe Ndyaluvane
Former U.S
President, Bill Clinton, made an appearance at St Cloud State University’s
Atwood Memorial Center last Sunday night to campaign for President Obama and 6th
district DFL Congressional candidate, Jim Graves.
Clinton, who
held the presidency for two terms from 1993-2001, was campaigning as part of a
rally this closing weekend on behalf of Obama’s re-election effects this
Tuesday (elections day).
“The first
thing I want to say is; I’m for Barack Obama more enthusiastically than I was
four years ago, because I have seen him work and make change. And that is better
than talking about change,” Clinton said.
Clinton
further criticized Republican Presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, saying
Romney’s policies are a “return to old ideas.”
“The
President’s plan is to create an economy that’s built to last rather than going
back to the same, failed top-down policies that crashed our economy and hurt
the middle class,” Clinton said.
Furthermore,
Clinton thanked Graves for running against Bachman and saying it is a “heavy
important and wonderful battle to replace Michele Bachman in the United States
Congress.”
Clinton is
greatly supported by Al Franken who says Obama is rebuilding the economy “with
Republicans like Michele Bachman fighting him every step of the way.”
“Are you
telling me this guy (Barack Obama), who freed us from Hitler, shouldn’t be
allowed to vote? Vote NO!” Franken said.
Moreover, in
his speech Clinton revealed how the Democrats aim to recruit the youth to stay
in schools and realize their dreams. “Here we are at St Cloud State University,
the single most important reform of Obama years. No one knows about this- the
Student Loan Reform, which says; ‘We are going to cut the cost of student loans
and let you pay them back as a low fixed per cent of your income for up to
20-years,” Clinton said.
In his
closing speech, Clinton urged the students and community as a whole to vote on
Tuesday and encourage other people to vote.
“President
Obama has tried to working with the Republicans and they have slapped him in
his face. I guarantee you, if you elect him on Tuesday; they are going to walk
through that door,” Clinton said.

Instagram photos of AviweAv_Ndyaluvane
By: Aviwe Ndyaluvane
So as you know I am on instagram as AviweAv_Ndyaluvane (sorry to disappoint you I don't have those sexy social networks names i.e. buttercup, sexymama et cetera- I go by my real name). Anyway, as the top picture shows this blog is basically to share my instagram photos and experiences with you as I know that not all of you guys are able to follow me on instagram. So, yes, allow me now to usher y'all into my daily experiences.
It was Halloween this Wednesday; my friends and I went costume shopping and I bumped into that guy :p. I'll admit this was my first ever Halloween experience; in South Africa we don't care about Halloween as we perceive it to be part of American culture. Back home you sometimes experience Halloween if you go to bars, some stores that sell Halloween stuff and of course primary school-they go all out; dress up and trick or treat. I found my outfit though- I was an Egyptian Gypsy...
Yessss... I was showing my entire thigh... I was pulling an Nothende at the SAMA's this year...
Nadia Kamil and Me....she was a baby bear =D
My new venture in America- learning to play the Piano. Yes, you've guessed right-my fingers are stiff as hell. However, my instructor believes that I have potential =D. We'll see where this goes....
Look what I bought... and no I'm not holding up a toy-it's actually a cellphone cover...cute hey... Again don't get carried away- that's not an iPhone 5...its an iPhone4... I swear by the time I buy an iPhone 5- Apple will release an iPhone6 the next week... I couldn't even brag about it... Talk about practising your catwalk and have the light dimmed on you five seconds before you step in...
If there's one thing I forever cry about on Wednesdays...this is it... My drama class and best friend-Nasiphi Dlilanga.
On that topic (my 'past life')...look at this... That's my best friend Nasiphi Dingiswayo (I know what you're thinking 'Nasiphis' are stalking me). Ok, that was just mean...lol... Let's rephrase that- I tend to easily connect with Nasiphis...so if you're 'Nasiphi' come to me- you can never go wrong... We'll light up like a house on fire.
That's Unathi Bonga-the only Black person I know in here... I know!! It's funny how we are both from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and we met in America. We were there together last year, plus we are doing the same stream/major- BA Media Communication and Culture... Well I suppose the reason could be that she's third year and I'm just a second year student....
Just look at me...ahhh...no further comment
And you thought that's all I've got...look at this...Ok enough about this... Back to the real thing
Last one I promise... I just couldn't help it... But if you must know I am a hard worker two hey...
This when I was helping my Sri Lankan friend Chathu prepare for Sri Lankan Night. She and other fellow Sri Lankan's were going to exhibit their country to both domestic students and international students.
After all that hard work this is how I looked like... cool hey...
Oh this is healthy...it's made out of dry cucumber... Why don't we have these in South Africa???!!!
Now I can go on and on about which great photos to post or not...so just follow me on Instagram ;)
